Repository overview
Repositories constitute the most fundamental component among the products within an artifact repository. You can create various types of repositories in the cloud to store and distribute your packages. This document introduces the types and common concepts of artifact repositories.
Repository Type
The artifact repository allows the creation of three different types of repositories. The details are as follows:

Repository Type
Description
Features
Hosted Repository
Referred to as a local repository, it serves as a standard artifact repository. It can provide functions for uploading and downloading packages, just like the official repository.
  • Provides services externally through a standard URL.
  • Supports both package upload and download.
Group Repository
Referred to as an aggregated repository, it supports logical aggregation and isolation functions for other types of repositories. It allows multiple repositories of other types to be consolidated into a single collective, providing services externally through a unified URL.
  • Provides services externally through a standard URL.
  • Supports package download only, not upload.
Proxy Repository
Referred to as a proxy repository, its primary function is to act as a proxy for other repositories, mainly for official sources. It offers secure and rapid download capabilities for official packages.
