Switching from Pay-as-you-go to mixed billing (partial Subscription)
Container Registry supports switching from Pay-as-you-go billing to mixed billing (partially on a Subscription basis). This feature allows you to switch temporarily used instances from Pay-as-you-go to mixed billing for long-term, stable use, helping you reserve resources in advance and reduce costs to a greater extent.
warning
- Currently, only Standard Edition instances support this feature. Proxy cache registries do not currently support billing method switching.
- For a comparison of fees before and after the switch, see Billing items.
- Pay-as-you-go: CR supports Pay-as-you-go, a postpaid billing method under which you use the service before paying for it. The bill amount is calculated by multiplying the usage by the unit price and is deducted directly from your account balance.
- Mixed billing: In the mixed billing model, instance fees and quota expansion fees are billed on a Subscription basis and must be paid in advance. However, this model offers greater discounts than Pay-as-you-go. Outbound traffic over the public network and storage capacity still follow the Pay-as-you-go rules.
- The instance status is either Running or Stopped.

- In the area of the target instance, click the "···" in the Actions column and select Switch from Pay-as-You-Go to Mixed Billing.
- Confirm the instance information and complete the relevant settings according to the on-screen prompts.
