Configuring local credentials
After obtaining permanent or temporary credentials for the Maven artifact repository, you need to add these repository credentials to the settings.xml file in your local environment to properly access the artifact repository. This section takes configuring permanent credentials in a local environment as an example to explain how to add access credentials for the artifact repository to your local Maven configuration file.
Prerequisites
- Have registered a Volcano Engine root user and activated the artifact repository Service.
- Maven has been installed locally.
Procedure
- Log in to the command-line interface of your local environment.
- Execute the following command to navigate to the Maven folder.
- Copy and add the access credentials to the settings.xml file. Here, <username> and <password> represent the username and password for the artifact repository.
warning
The top-level tag <settings> in the settings.xml file can only appear once. Therefore, if your settings.xml file already contains configurations, please copy only the content within the <servers> </servers> tags as shown below.
- Save the file to complete the configuration.
