Configuring permanent access credentials
Before using the artifact repository, you need to set up access credentials. This document primarily introduces the process of configuring access credentials and the operations for managing them.
Background information
The main access credentials for the artifact repository include:
- Permanent credentials: Permanent credentials are login credentials generated based on a user's password. After configuring the password, the system will automatically generate login credentials that include this password. You can use these credentials to log in to the artifact repository instance and push or pull artifacts.
- Temporary credential: Temporary credentials are temporary login credentials created by users, with a default validity period of 2 hours, and the duration of validity can be modified. Within the validity period, you can quickly log in to the artifact repository instance using temporary credentials.
Prerequisites
- Have registered a Volcano Engine root user and activated the artifact repository Service.
- A repository instance has been created. For details, refer to Creating basic edition instances.
Procedure
- In the left navigation bar, select Instances. In the Instances area on the right page, click to enter the artifact repository instance.
- In the left menu bar, select Access Control, choose the Permanent Access Credentials tab, and click Set Permanent Credentials. Configure the permanent access credentials for the artifact repository.
