Creating custom domain names
Custom domain names enable unified enterprise-level service management. By creating a custom domain name, you can ensure the domain name of a CR instance remains unchanged before and after migration, thereby guaranteeing service continuity. This topic describes how to create a custom domain name in CR.
This feature is only available for Standard Edition instances.
When creating a custom domain name, you can select one of two types. The required configuration steps depend on the type you select:
- When images are pulled by using the encryption-free addon, custom domain names are not supported. Use the default domain name instead.
- Disabling public network access has a 21-minute delay. If ICP filing has been completed for a custom domain name with a third-party cloud service provider and Public network is not selected for Referrer of the custom domain name, public network access will be disabled at least 21 minutes after the custom domain name is created.
- If you want to access an instance over the public network in the Chinese mainland, make sure that the configured custom domain name has passed ICP filing review and that Public network is selected for Referrer. If ICP filing has not been completed for the domain name, follow the domain name ICP filing process to complete ICP filing or complete domain name ICP filing with the cloud service provider that provides your domain name.
tip
Domain name ICP filing has a 30-minute delay. That is, the domain name can be used to create a custom domain name at least 30 minutes after ICP filing is completed.
