Splitting bills by tag

By adding tags to CR instances, you can view instance fees and filter the instance list by tag. This topic describes how to add tags to instances and split bills by tag.

Background

A resource tag consists of a key-value (KV) pair. You can use resource tags to classify and aggregate cloud resources from different dimensions, and they can also be applied in scenarios such as tag-based authorization and tag-based bill splitting.

Procedure

Step 1: Add tags

First, add tags to CR instances. Custom tags can be added to both existing and newly created instances.

Existing instances

New instances

When creating a new instance, add custom tags in the Tag section. For information about how to create an instance, see Creating Standard Edition instances.

Step 2: View splitting bills

After you add bill splitting tags to CR instances, the tag information is displayed in the bills. You can use the tags to filter splitting bills.

In the left navigation pane, select Cost organization > Split bills.

On the Split bills page, filter bills by tag.

tip

Both tag keys and values support fuzzy search.

View resources by tag

In the navigation pane on the left, select Resource center > Resource search.

In the My resources section, enter the search information. After the information is entered, the platform automatically displays matching resources.

Parameter	Description
Region	Select the region where the resource is located. Multiple regions can be selected.
Resource type	Select the type of resource you want to view. For example, for a Container Registry instance, select Container Registry/Enterprise Edition Instance.
Project	The project to which the resources belong.
Tag	The KV name of the resource tag.
ID	The ID of the resource.
Resource name	The name of the resource.
IP address	The private or public IP address of the resource.

Click View Resources to view the target resources in the Resource Search Results area at the bottom of the page.
