How to Push Lark Messages

1. Overview

After the administrator completes the basic configuration for integrating Lark (including permission configuration), subscriptions and alert rules can be set up in Intelligent Data Insight to enable pushing charts, dashboards, and data anomaly notifications to Lark and Lark groups.

2. Prerequisite Operations

(1) Complete all basic configurations for integrating the Lark application;
(2) Complete all configuration operations for account binding when integrating the Lark application;
(3) Complete the corresponding Lark permission configuration:
On the permission management page of Lark Open Platform, ensure the following permissions are enabled. "View, comment, edit, and manage multidimensional tables" and "View, comment, and export multidimensional tables" are the permissions for multidimensional tables; "View, comment, edit, and manage spreadsheets" and "View, comment, and export spreadsheets" are the permissions for spreadsheets. It is recommended to select all permissions related to cloud documents. The permission configuration interface of Lark Open Platform may be updated periodically. Please refer to the latest permission configuration interface, and it is also recommended to select all permissions related to cloud documents.
For more specific operations, see Basic Configuration for Lark Integration"Data Subscription" and so on.

3. Push configuration

3.1 Application permission configuration

3.1.1 Set application visibility to "All members"

Contact Lark enterprise organization administrator in Lark management console to confirm that the application's address book visibility is set to all members. Path: Workbench -> Application list -> Find the application -> Application availability scope

3.1.2 Configure permission to send messages

Lark application administrator goes to Lark Open Platform to add and authorize permission to send messages, and please ask enterprise organization administrator to approve the permission.
(1) Obtain and send one-on-one and group messages: After enabling this permission, the bot can send one-on-one messages to users or send group messages to groups where the bot is present. After adding the "Receive message" event (go to the "Event Subscription" panel > Add Event > Message and Group), the bot can receive one-on-one messages sent by users.
(2) Obtain messages where users @ the bot in groups: After enabling this permission and adding the "Receive message" event (go to the "Event Subscription" panel > Add Event > Message and Group), messages where users @ the bot in group chats can be received.

3.1.3 Add a bot

Lark application administrator goes to Lark Open Platform. Under "Add Application Capabilities", click to add "Bot". Then, "Bot" will appear in the left sidebar. Next, enter the configuration interface for "Bot", where you can set up custom menus and more.

3.3 How to send to a Lark group

The corresponding bot for the application information configured in Enterprise Management/Enterprise Domain Management - Office Platform Integration must be added to the Lark group in order to receive messages properly.
Steps to add a bot to a Lark group:
(1) Open Lark, enter the group chat that needs to subscribe, go to Conversation Settings > Group Bots > Add Bot.
(2) Click Add Bot, search for the bot name you use to push messages, find and click the bot to add it successfully.
(3) After adding, perform the verification test steps for sending to an individual, change the message recipient to the Lark group, and select the created test group.
Note: You need to set a recent time here to test message push. If you choose to send a test, only the sender will receive the push message, which is equivalent to pushing to an individual.
(4) After pushing a group message at the specified time, you will receive a subscription creation notification, and at the specified time, you will receive a subscription message, indicating that the configuration is successful. If not successful, please check whether the configuration is correct according to the instructions above.
