The indicator broadcasting method supports pushing key indicator data in text format, helping users quickly access core data. This article provides a detailed introduction to using the indicator broadcasting feature.
Feature overview
To regularly obtain key indicator data directly in enterprise office software or email, you can choose to Data Subscription push dashboards and dashboard links. However, when there are too many data messages and it is difficult for business users to quickly access core data, you can use the indicator broadcasting method to push key data in text format.
- The objects of indicator broadcasting are the indicators in saved charts, and you can configure the broadcast sentence structure and required indicator fields.
- Supports broadcasting via Lark and email
- For broadcasting via Lark, the system administrator needs to confirm whether Basic Configuration for Lark Integration the "basic permissions" and "permissions related to sending Lark messages" are fully configured, and whether the basic steps for Lark integration have been completed.
- For broadcasting via email, the system administrator needs to complete Email service configuration first, and when adding User Management new users on the system management page, email information must be added; otherwise, this channel will be grayed out.
Quick start
The following section provides a quick introduction to creating a scheduled indicator broadcast.
- Create and save a chart. If a chart already exists, this step can be skipped.

- In "Project Center" - "Indicator Broadcasting" (under Scheduled Tasks), click "Create Broadcast".

- Configure the basic information for the broadcast (name, description) and the broadcast content (title, chart, detailed data).

- The broadcast name is the name that will be pushed (the Lark card title or email subject).
- The broadcast content refers to the content title and specific broadcast information. Multiple broadcast contents can be configured, and all will be displayed in a single broadcast message.
- Configure the broadcast style (choose whether to add a divider between multiple broadcast contents) and broadcast notifications (subscription time, push method, and exception handling).

- After completing the configuration, you can click "Send test message" to see the effect and make adjustments. Once the expected effect is achieved, click "Save".

- On the notification list page, you can view relevant information and perform manual editing, "Immediate push", copy, transfer ownership, or delete operations.

View notifications
Users can filter subscription records and view subscription details, including ID, notification name, chart name, push method, creator, recipients, most recent push time, push status, and other information.

The filter criteria are described as follows:
Filter criteria | Note |
|---|
Notification name | Users can enter the notification name to search for related notifications. |
Chart name | Users can search for related notifications by chart name. |
Recipient | Users can enter the recipient's name to search for related notifications. |
Push status | Users can search for related subscriptions by push status. - In progress: The push task has been triggered and is sending data to the target channel, but the entire process has not yet been completed.
- Success: The push task has been completed according to the configured rules, the data is complete, and has been successfully delivered to all target channels / recipients.
- Partial success: The push task involves multiple push targets, some of which succeeded while others failed (for example, insufficient permissions for certain group chats, or invalid email addresses).
- Failure: The push task was not completed, and none of the target channels / recipients received the data.
- Waiting for retry: The initial execution of the push task failed, but the system has triggered the automatic retry mechanism and is currently waiting for the next retry attempt.

Immediate push
For subscriptions whose most recent push status is "Failed" or "Partially successful", you can try "Immediate push".
- Users can click "Immediate push" after a single notification, or select multiple subscriptions and click the Batch "Immediate push" button at the bottom of the subscription management interface.
- Clicking "Partially successful" displays the affected recipients; "Immediate push" will only resend to recipients for whom the previous push failed.

Broadcast name | Name of the push (Lark card title / email subject) | Directly specify the name according to custom rules
 |
Broadcast description | Some custom text or description in the push information | - The text content can be set to the previous or next step
- Text can be bold, strikethrough, or italicized
- Links can be added, for example, you can directly place the dashboard story related to the broadcast content in the link. Users can choose to view only key metric data, or click the link to view detailed data reports.

Notification content
Notification content refers to the title and specific notification information.
Feature name | Feature purpose | Feature description |
|---|
Title | Content title. | As shown in the figure below |
Select chart (table) | Select a saved chart under this project for which you have view, edit, or manage permissions on the dataset. | Supports custom push format or table push: - Custom push format: Users can set the broadcast content push format in the detailed data template. The result of the custom push format is shown in the figure below. The chart data will be presented in a table-like format.
 - Table push (email only): After completing Email service configuration and adding email information when adding a new user via User Management on the system management page, this option will be available. When selecting email broadcast, table push is supported, allowing you to push chart content in table format.

|
Detailed data template | Configure the data format for push notifications; manual text input and insertion of existing fields from the chart are supported. - Inserted fields refer to dimension or metric fields from the chart. In the template, these appear with a gray background and angle brackets (<>), while the rest is plain text.
- A serial number is automatically generated for each row of data, as shown in the image on the right.
- The template defines the sentence structure for sending each metric value. Line breaks are supported, and you can also customize text, emoji images, and more.

Data conditional formatting | When configuring single-color cell (red/green) conditional formatting for data in the chart, after setting up metric reporting, the data in push notifications will display the same red and green text as the conditional formatting. | |

Subscription time
Scheduled push
When scheduled push is set, the system will query the chart at the specified time and push the results. Supports daily, minute-based, hourly, and weekly notifications. It also supports restricting pushes to only workdays or trading days.

Push when data synchronization is complete
You can also set the push to be triggered when data synchronization is complete. This way, the system will not push notifications for indicators that have not been updated. If the data synchronization completion time is later than the scheduled push time, the system will wait until data synchronization is complete before pushing the notification. It also supports restricting pushes to only workdays or trading days.
As shown in the figure: if the day's data synchronization is completed at 9:00, the indicator will be pushed at 10:30; if the day's data synchronization is completed at 12:00, the indicator will be pushed at 12:00.

Push method
Supports Lark, Lark groups, email, email groups, and general IM push notifications. Only users within the organization can be recipients.
- For Lark notifications, the system administrator needs to confirm whether the "basic permissions" and the permissions related to sending Lark messages of Basic Configuration for Lark Integration are fully configured, and whether the basic steps for Lark integration have been completed.
- For email notifications, the system administrator must first complete the configuration of Email service, and when adding a new user via User Management on the system management page, an email address must be provided; otherwise, this channel will be grayed out.
- For general IM push notifications, the system administrator needs to confirm whether the relevant configuration in Office Platform Integration has been completed.
Permission description: All push notification methods are validated based on the data permissions of the creator (that is, the person who configured this metric notification) on the platform. The data received is pushed according to the creator's data permissions, and the data results pushed to groups are consistent.
warning
- Caution: When using this feature with sensitive data, ensure that the users to whom the data is pushed have permission to view it.
- If pushing to Lark or Lark groups, when the monitoring message is too long, due to Lark's message size limit of 30k, the message may be truncated and incomplete.
Exception handling

- If there is a chart exception, no notification will be sent: If the selected chart in the notification content fails to query, times out, or is still loading, the metric notification message will not be sent to the recipient.
- Automatic retry on failure: If the push fails, the system will automatically attempt to resend it after 1 hour.
Transfer owner
Users can transfer the owner of a metric notification individually. After the transfer, the creator will be changed to the user to whom it was transferred.

Delete notification
Users can delete notifications individually or in batches.
