This article describes how to integrate OceanBase Oracle to create datasets.
Supports integrating OceanBase Oracle data sources to create datasets. Data connections support offline extraction from OceanBase Oracle data sources.
Before connecting to the data, contact the database administrator to collect the following information:
SaaS users must add an allowlist entry in OceanBase Oracle, enter the "DataWind public IP for access" into the allowlist settings area, and grant this IP address permission to access the OceanBase Oracle service. The "DataWind public IP for access" can be viewed at Data Connections Overview.
warning
If SaaS users choose to connect using vpcMode, they must also add the IP address "100.64.0.0/10" to the allowlist configuration of the corresponding database (using MySQL as an example here), otherwise the connection will fail.
Go to BytePlus, enter a specific project, click Data Preparation, find Data Connection in the dropdown list, and click Data Connection.
Select OceanBase Oracle on the page.
The configuration instructions for connecting with the SaaS version are as follows:
Parameters | Configuration instructions |
|---|---|
Data connection name | Name of the new data connection, used to distinguish between different database connections in the system. For example, OceanBase_Oracle_20250723142047. |
Server | Public network address of OceanBase Oracle. To obtain it, see OceanBase official documentation. |
Port | Instance port of OceanBase Oracle. To obtain it, see OceanBase official documentation. |
Username | Username created in the database engine. To obtain it, contact the administrator responsible for the corresponding engine. warning The username entered for the OceanBase data connection should be in the format "user@tenant_name#cluster_name". |
Password | Password created in the database engine. To obtain it, contact the administrator responsible for the corresponding engine. |
Permission mode | Both read and write modes are supported.
|
vpcMode | Select "Yes" to connect via BytePlus intranet; otherwise, select "No". |
VPC ID | Required when vpcMode is set to "Yes". For how to obtain it, see Access Regions and BytePlus Intranet Connection. warning To connect using vpcMode, the user must add the IP address "100.64.0.0/10" to the allowlist configuration of the corresponding database; otherwise, the connection will fail. |
The configuration instructions for connecting with the privatized version are as follows:
Parameter | Configuration description |
|---|---|
Data connection name | Name of the new data connection, used to distinguish between different database connections in the system. For example, OceanBase_Oracle_20250723142840. |

Go to BytePlus, click Data Preparation --> Dataset, select the "New" button in the upper left corner to create a new dataset.
When selecting a data connection, click Add new configuration.
The subsequent steps are the same as steps 2 and 3 in Create from data connection above. After completing the configuration, you will remain in the pop-up window for selecting a data connection for the dataset, where you can proceed directly to the next step of dataset creation.
Use the previously created data connection to create a dataset: click Data Preparation --> Dataset, and select the "New" button in the upper left corner to create a new dataset.
Search for or select the previously created data connection from the dropdown.
