Supports connecting to MySQL databases to create datasets.
The following describes two methods for creating a data connection.
(1) Enter BytePlus, click to enter a specific project, click Data Preparation, find Data Connection in the dropdown list, and click Data Connection.
(2) On the page, select the MySQL connection.
(3) Fill in the required basic information, test the connection, and after the connection is successful, click Save.
(4) After confirming that the basic information is correct, the data connection is complete.
(5) You can use this connection as a data source to create a dataset: click Data Preparation --> Dataset, and select the "New" button in the upper left corner to create a new dataset.
(6) Search or scroll through existing connections and select the previously created data source.
(1) Enter BytePlusk Data Preparation --> Dataset, select the "New" button in the upper left corner to create a new dataset.
(2) When selecting a data connection, click New Configuration.
The subsequent steps are the same as steps (2) and (3) in 2.1. After the upload is complete, the pop-up window to select a data connection for the dataset will remain open, and you can proceed directly to the next step of dataset creation.
Name | Description |
|---|---|
Data connection name | The name of the new data connection, used to distinguish connections to different databases in the system. For example, MYSQL. |
Server | The IP address where the MySQL database is deployed |
Port | The instance port of MYSQL. |
Username | The username for accessing the MYSQL database. If you do not know how to obtain it, it is recommended to contact the operations personnel for the corresponding engine. |

Permission mode | Supports both read and write modes |
vpcMode | Both "yes" and "no" are supported. If the database to be connected is BytePlus RDS or a self-managed MySQL service on BytePlus ECS, and is in the same region as DataWind, you can use the VPC internal network connection mode to access the database via the internal IP. |
VPC ID | To obtain the VPC ID, refer to the document Access Regions and BytePlus Intranet Connection. |
