This article introduces the meaning and operation method of each configuration item in Datawind (privatization environment) System Management > System switch. Administrators can complete the configuration of function entry, data security and permission-related switches according to this article.
In system administration, a system switch module is provided.
Reasonable configuration of system switches can make product interfaces more concise and clear, enhance ease of use, and reduce violations and errors. Limiting sensitive or important functions can also reduce the risk of information leakage and protect enterprise core data and confidentiality.
The current version of the system switch is divided into modules: General settings, Visualization, Data Preparation, Dashboard, Project Center, which, in addition to switch configuration, also includes text input, single/multiple drop-down, personnel whitelist configuration form.
tip
Prerequisites for use: Please use the system admin account to configure.
Support setting system switch for the following functions:
Module | System switch | Description | Schematic diagram | Remarks |
|---|---|---|---|---|
General Settings | Product name | Define the product name in the navigation bar in Chinese and English | ||
Development platform | After opening, the API entry will open in the navigation bar | |||
Visualization | Dashboard Template | After opening, the dashboard template entrance will be added to the navigation bar | ||
Click on the dashboard chart name to enter the visualized query | Once opened, click the name of the chart on the dashboard to go directly to the visualized query page of the chart | |||
Dashboard Review | After opening, it supports commenting on the dashboard. | |||
Networking diagram | After opening, it supports visual analysis of networking charts such as LBS charts | |||
"Trading day" filter | When turned on, the chart filter will add a filter for "trading days" | |||
Downloaded and exported content is pushed to third-party platforms | After opening, the download and export content of the visualization and dashboard are pushed to the third-party platform, and users need to download and use it on the third-party platform. | |||
Pivot Table Download Limits | Numerical input, the maximum limit on the number of rows downloaded from the pivot table. | |||
Copy data | After closing, users cannot copy query results | |||
Extend the scope of the listening dataset for the push function | After turning it on, the "triggered when the data is synchronized" of subscriptions, monitoring and metrics broadcasts will also monitor the synchronization status of manually synchronized datasets. If the synchronization is not completed on the same day, it will not be pushed. | |||
Dashboard subscription supports data push | After opening, the subscription supports the selection of push screenshots and pdf. | |||
Indicator broadcast | After closing, the entrance of the indicator broadcast will not be displayed, and the historical indicator broadcast will be hidden and not pushed. | |||
Monitor | After closing, the monitored entrance is not displayed, and the historical monitoring is hidden and not pushed. Open by default | |||
Mobile end | After closing, the mobile end related entrance is not displayed on the product | |||
Dashboard Subscription Support Instructions/Notes Rich Text Box | After closing, do not display the description/remarks rich text box when creating a new subscription | |||
Data Preparation | Hidden Visual Modeling Bootstrap | Controls whether visual modeling tasks hide canvas descriptions and feature guides | ||
Support for custom database & table data source types in visual modeling | In visual modeling, the ability to customize databases & tables for different data set storage types can be released | |||
Output dataset type in visual modeling (privatization V2.91.0 and above only) | In visual modeling, when outputting datasets for offline tasks, the supported output types can be configured and selected. If the configuration is empty, the new dataset cannot be created normally. Default two types are selected. | |||
Visual modeling allows source datasets (privatized V2.91.0 and above only) | When turned on, the visual modeling task allows the use of existing datasets as data sources, which are turned on by default | |||
Visual modeling output datasets can span multiple projects | When turned on, the dataset output by visual modeling can be opened to other projects, and the dataset administrator can use it as a data source in the visual modeling tasks of other projects | |||
Data connection basic information non-clear text display | The selected data connection type, with non-plaintext styles in the underlying information other than the data connection name | |||
Dataset supports projects that use custom SQL | Selectable items, selected items support the use of custom SQL, unselected items will be disabled custom SQL | |||
Dataset Default Direct Connection | The dataset is extracted by default when closed. After opening, when creating a new dataset, the dataset type is changed from default extraction to default direct connection | |||
Task instance status information Kafka push | Support pushing task instance information, such as task name, instance name, business date, task running status, running time, number of data rows, etc., to eventbus's kafka for external use. Due to the large number of rows in the task log, push is not supported, and an open API call is required. At present, this function is only effective on the customer data platform | |||
Allowing the use of linked data sets | Select Yes here to create a new dataset by associating an existing dataset; select No here, the Linked Dataset entry will not be visible on the product | |||
Preview line limit switch | Once turned on, limit the maximum number of rows of data previews in the dataset/visual modeling | |||
Dashboard | Public template | Allow templates to be set to a public user list | none | |
Open source | List of users allowed to upload design assets (all projects visible) | none | ||
Public font | List of users allowed to upload fonts (visible to all items) | none | ||
Project Center | Operation log permission control | After opening, only the project administrator and users with the above permissions are allowed to view the operation log. | ||
Role creation permission |
| |||
Role authorization control |

If you need to restore the configuration, re-enter the editing state, restore the target item to the value recorded before modification, and check again after submitting according to the page prompts. The restore switch value is not equivalent to reissuing content that was not pushed during the deactivation period.
