Asynchronous query and analysis of logs
When you query and analyze a large volume of data or need to access logs stored in infrequent storage, direct query and analysis may result in high latency. To simplify the query and analysis process, use asynchronous queries.
Notice
Asynchronous query is in closed beta. If you have related business requirements, contact your account manager for allowlist.
Limits

Items
Description
Concurrency
Each project only supports two asynchronous query tasks running simultaneously.
Resource quota
The maximum number of tasks in a project, including completed, running, queued, and expired tasks, is 10.
Data volume
  • Query
  • The maximum data volume returned in a single query is 10 GiB.
  • The maximum number of results returned in a single query is 100,000 records.
  • Analysis
  • By default, 100 rows are returned for each analysis.
  • If you need to return more data, use LIMIT syntax. In this case, up to 100,000 rows can be returned.
Execution duration
A single task can run for up to 1 hour.
If a task can not complete successfully within 1 hour, it will be marked as failed.
Number of times for retry
A single task can be retried up to 10 times.
If the data size is too large or the statement is too complex, causing the query and analysis engine to repeatedly generate inaccurate results, the task will fail due to retry max.
Retention period for asynchronous query results
Asynchronous query results are stored for up to 1 day from the completion time. The results can not be modified.

Prerequisites
Create asynchronous query task.
  1. Log in to TLS console.
  1. Select the region where log service is located from the top navigation bar.
  1. On the left navigation bar, select Data processing > Asynchronization retrieve.
  1. On the Asynchronization retrieve page, click Create asynchronization retrieve task.
  1. On the Create asynchronization retrieve task page, complete the following configurations, and then click Create task.
  •
    Parameters
    Description
    Task name
Set the Asynchronization retrieve task name.
    Log project
Select the project where the logs are stored.
    Log topic
Select the log topic where the logs are stored.
    Time
Select the time range for asynchronous log queries
If the log data storage time is outside the specified query time range, it will not be retrieved.
    Query accuracy
Select the accuracy for asynchronous log queries
    Query and analysis statement
Set the query and analysis statement for asynchronous queries
The query and analysis statement consists of query syntax and SQL analysis syntax. The format is &{query statement} | &{SQL analysis statement}. This means that you can perform data statistics and analysis within the results that meet the query conditions. For more details, see Analysis overview.

View asynchronous query results
When the asynchronous query task status is completed, you can click View for the target task on the Asynchronous retrieve page to view the asynchronous query results.
Status of asynchronization retrieve task

Status
Description
Running
Asynchronous query is running.
Completed
Asynchronous query is completed.
In line
Asynchronous query is in the queue.
If there are already 2 ongoing asynchronous query tasks under a single project, newly created tasks will be queued.
Expired
The task status will change to expired one day after the asynchronous query is completed.
Expired tasks require manual deletion.
Failed
Asynchronous query failed.
