This topic describes how to delete dedicated CloudTrail log topics and projects.
Overview
Before transferring logs of CloudTrail event tracking tasks to TLS, you must manually create a project and a topic in the TLS console, or follow prompts in the CloudTrail console. When creating the event tracking task, select the corresponding project and log topic.
After you disable or delete a tracking task, the system stops shipping logs to the log topic (with an approximate delay of one minute). However, the log topic is not deleted, and CloudTrail logs that are already stored are retained.
Edit CloudTrail dedicated log topic
There are no special restrictions when modifying CloudTrail log topics. The process is the same as for regular log topics in TLS. For details, see Edit log topic configuration.
Delete CloudTrail dedicated log topic
There are no special restrictions when deleting CloudTrail log topics. The process is the same as for regular log topics in TLS. For details, see Delete topic.
