Collect FileNAS logs
This document introduces the features and collection methods related to FileNAS logs.
Feature overview
File storage NAS (FileNAS) is a file storage service designed for Volcano Engine elastic computing, container services, and AI intelligent applications. It provides business applications with a high-performance, shared-access, always-online, elastic scaling, cross-region access, and cost-effective cloud storage service.
Log analysis can be enabled for FileNAS data movement tasks. Once enabled, real-time query and analysis of the data movement records for the data movement policy will be available.
The relevant configuration is as follows:

Configuration
Description
Log type
FileNAS data movement logs.
Log storage location
When creating a data movement policy and enabling log analysis, TLS will automatically create the corresponding project and log topic. For details on managing log resources, see Manage FileNAS log resources.
  • Project: filenas-service-project-1
  • Log topic: Data movement policy ID
Log storage period
The default is 3650 days.
Log shard
  • One shard is preset.
  • The auto split feature for log topic shards is enabled by default.
Index settings
Index is configured automatically.
Log fields
For a detailed list of log fields, see FileNAS log fields.

Collect FileNAS logs
For usage restrictions, enabling log analysis, and log collection operations, see View data movement logs.
FileNAS log fields

Field
Description
cache_strategy_id
Data movement policy ID.
file_name
Relative file path. For example, if the file system path configured in the data movement policy is /dir1/, and the absolute file path is /dir1/subdir1/file1, then the value here is subdir1/file1.
file_system_id
File system ID.
job_id
Task ID.
size_bytes
File size, in bytes.
success
The possible values for file synchronization success are as follows:
  • 1: Synchronization succeeded.
  • 0: Synchronization failed.
type
Data movement task type. Value description is as follows:
  • LoadMeta Event: Preheat metadata immediately after creating the data movement policy.
  • LoadData Event: Preheat data immediately after creating the data movement policy.
  • TosToNas Event: Incrementally preheat metadata and data.
  • NasToToS Event: Settle data.
  • AutoFileEvict Event: Automatically evict data.
  • ManualFileEvict Event: Manually evict data.
skipped
When performing preheating tasks or settlement tasks, the policy for handling files with the same name is explained as follows:
  • true: Skip files with the same name.
  • false: Do not skip files with the same name.
