Create write processor
This topic describes how to create a write processor.
Notice
Write processor is in closed beta. If you have relevant business needs, contact your account manager for the allowlist.
Prerequisites
A project has been created. For detailed steps, see Log project.
Steps
  1. Log in to TLS console.
  1. Select the region where log service is located from the top navigation bar.
  1. In the left navigation bar, choose Data processing > Data processor.
  1. Click + in the write processor list to enter the Create write processor page.
  •
  1. Configure basic information for the write processor.
  •
    Parameters
    Description
    Log project
The project to which the write processor belongs.
The write processor supports associating log topics only within this project and does not support cross-project operations.
    Name
    Write processor name.
    Description
    Write processor description.
    Failure handling policy
Policy for handling invalid log data configurations.
    • Retain original data sources and write directly
    • Discard original data source

  1. Write data processing rules.
  • Follow the onscreen instructions to enter processing rules in the input box. TLS supports a variety of DSL syntax functions. On the transformation functions tab, you can click a function name to view syntax descriptions and examples, and insert specified syntax with one click to quickly write transformation rules. For the list of supported syntax functions, see Functions overview.
Notice
The following functions in the function list are not supported:
  • Event handler functions: e_output function, e_auto_output function.
  • Resource function: res_rds_mysql function.
  1. Test data processing rules.
  • Follow the page instructions to test by using log data from the log topic or specified test data. Click Preview execution to test transformation rules.
  • If the page prompts DSL code compilation failed, it means the transformation statement contains errors. You can refer to the error information provided and fix the syntax issue in the specified line, and then retest the transformation rule.
  • If the data transformation result is correct, click Create write processor.
  1. Select a startup policy for the write processor.
  • In the pop-up Immediately enabled after task created dialog, you can choose whether to enable the write processor right away.
  • Immediately enable: The write processor starts immediately after configuration is complete.
  • Enter pause mode: The write processor will not start automatically after configuration. You can manually start the task as needed. For details, see Manage write processor.
  • Cancel: Cancel write processor creation.
  1. Associate log topic.
  • In the Associate log topic dialog, select the log topics to be associated and click Confirm.
