Manage scheduled SQL analysis tasks
After creating a scheduled SQL task, you can view its basic configuration and other details in the console, as well as start or pause the task. This topic describes the procedures for managing scheduled SQL tasks.
View task details
After creating a scheduled SQL task, follow these steps to view the task list and the detailed status of specific tasks.
  1. Log in to TLS console.
  1. Select the region where log service is located from the top navigation bar.
  1. On the left navigation bar, select Data processing > Schedule SQL.
  1. On the schedule SQL page, you can view task overview information.
  • You can check overview information of all tasks in the current region in the task list, such as task status and source topic. For detailed descriptions of task status, see Task status.
  1. Click the specified task name to view its detailed information.
  • You can view the basic information and execution details for the specified task on the task details page. For more information, see Basic information and Task execution.
Basic information
This section displays basic information for the current task, including name, ID, scheduling scope, and SQL scheduling information.

Configuration instructions are as follows:

Configuration
Description
Task name
Name of the schedule SQL analysis task.
Task ID
The unique identifier of the schedule SQL analysis task.
Description
Description of the schedule SQL analysis task.
Source topic
The source topic for the schedule SQL analysis task, that is, the original log data location.
Target project
The target project for the schedule SQL analysis task, i.e., the project where the processed log data resides.
Target topic
The target topic for the schedule SQL analysis task, i.e., the topic where the processed log data is stored.
Recent update
The most recent update time for the scheduled SQL analysis task configuration.
Scheduling scope
The start and end times for the scheduled SQL analysis task. Within this period, TLS continuously initiates instance scheduling based on the scheduling cycle.
Schedule period
The scheduling cycle for scheduled SQL analysis tasks specifies the scheduled time for each instance.
SQL time window
The time range for query and analysis when running scheduled SQL analysis tasks.
SQL statement
Query and analysis statements executed periodically by scheduled SQL analysis tasks.
Delayed execution
Delay time for each scheduled task.
Create on
The creation time of the scheduled SQL analysis task.

Task execution
By default, this section displays the list of instances from the last 5 minutes, including basic scheduling details such as the number of successful, failed, or ongoing instances and the scheduling results.

Configuration instructions are as follows:

Configuration
Description
Instance ID
The unique identifier for the instance.
Scheduling result
The scheduling result for this instance. For more details, see Task status.
Scheduled time
By default, the time when the scheduled instance begins execution is determined by the scheduling cycle and is not affected by previous instance timeouts, delays, or reruns.
Execution time
The actual execution time for the scheduled instance, including start and end times.
SQL time window
The time range for query and analysis when running scheduled SQL analysis tasks.
The volume of data processed
The number of log entries processed by the scheduled SQL analysis task.

Task status
The task status and instance status are described as follows:

Status
Description
Running
Scheduled SQL analysis task is running.
Suspended
Scheduled SQL analysis task has been suspended. To restart the task, see Pause or start the task.

Instance scheduling results

Scheduling result
Description
Scheduling
The instance is running in scheduling.
Success, complete results
The instance was scheduled successfully, and the computation results have been written to the target log topic.
Scheduling failed
Instance scheduling failed. Possible causes include:
  • The source log topic or target log topic does not exist: Create new log topics and update the scheduled SQL task configuration to associate them.
  • No permission: Check whether the source log topic or target log topic has query and data write permissions.
  • Query timeout: The SQL statement is too complex. Simplify the statement.

View execution results
  1. Log in to TLS console.
  1. Select the region where log service is located from the top navigation bar.
  1. On the left navigation bar, select Data processing > Schedule SQL.
  1. From the schedule SQL analysis task list, click the specified task name.
  1. In the Task implementation section, locate the specified instance ID and click View execution results in the Actions column.
  1. On the query and analysis page for the specified instance, view the execution results.
