Viewing object details
You can view object details in the TOS console, including filename, size, URL, and storage type.
Notes
By default, the owner of an account has full permissions. Identity and Access Management (IAM) users have no permissions by default. If an IAM user needs to perform this operation, the account owner must grant the user the tos:ListBucket permission using an IAM or bucket policy.
Steps
  1. Log in to the TOS console.
  1. In the left navigation pane, click Buckets.
  1. In the top menu bar, select the project of the bucket you want to manage.
  1. On the Buckets page, click the name of the bucket.
  1. On the Objects page, click Details in the Actions column of the object you want to check. The object's details will then appear in a panel, with the parameters listed below.
  •
    Parameter
    Description
    Filename
    The name of the object.
    URL
The download URL for the object, which is valid for one hour.
    tip
If your bucket policy conflicts with an object's access permissions — for example, if an object's access permissions are set to Public read but your bucket policy denies access — your bucket policy takes precedence, and you cannot access the object via the URL. Click Generate and Copy Pre-signed Link next to the URL. Then, use the pre-signed link to access the object.
    Custom domain URL
Select a custom domain, and then click Generate and copy custom pre-signed links to create a pre-signed URL with the custom domain for the object.
    tip
A pre-signed URL with a custom domain is valid for one hour by default. Anyone can download the object using this link during that time.
    Size
    The size of the object.
    Version ID
The version ID of the object. This parameter only appears when versioning is enabled for the bucket and the Show versions switch is toggled on in the upper-right corner of the Objects page.
    tip
    • If versioning is not enabled for the bucket, the ID is null.
    Storage type
The storage type of the object. For more information, see Storage type.
    Access Control
The access control list policy for the object. For more information, see Editing object permissions.
    Server-Side encryption
The server-side encryption method of the object.
    tip
You can only configure server-side encryption when uploading objects, and you cannot modify it afterward. For more information, see Server-side encryption.
    Encryption algorithm
The encryption algorithm used for server-side encryption.
    Tag
    Tag(s) associated with the object.
    Replication state
The cross-region or same-region replication status of the object:
    • If the object is the source for cross-region or same-region replication, the replication state section will display one of the following statuses: Pending, Failed, or Complete.
    tip
The feature that allows you to view the replication status of source objects is currently in close beta. Contact your account manager for access.
    • If the object is a target for cross-region or same-region replication, this section will display Copied file.
    • If the object is neither a source nor a target for cross-region or same-region replication, this section will display -.
    ETag
    The ETag of the object.
    Retention mode
Currently, only compliance mode is supported, which means that no user can delete or overwrite the protected object during the retention period. This parameter only appears when Default retention period is enabled in Retention policy. For more information, see Configuring WORM retention.
    Retention expiration date
The time until which the object cannot be deleted or overwritten under the retention policy.
    tip
    • This parameter only appears when Default retention period is enabled in Retention policy.
    • After enabling object locking on your bucket, you can set a retention period for the entire bucket or a specific object. For more information, see Configuring WORM retention.
    Retention period
The time after which the object will expire and be deleted. This parameter only appears when the object is subject to a lifecycle deletion rule.
