HEIF
HEIF
The advanced compression feature allows you to convert images to High Efficiency Image Format (HEIF), a highly compressed file type. This topic introduces the parameters of this feature and provides examples.
Notes
- When using the advanced compression feature, the width and height of the image cannot exceed 4096 pixels.
Examples
- Convert a JPG image to the HEIF format.
- Convert a JPG image to the HEIF format and set the resolution to 600 × 400 by specifying the width.
Compression ratio at different resolutions
The table below compares the sizes of the original JPG/JPEG image and the converted HEIF images at different resolutions. As the data shows, HEIF images have a higher compression ratio than JPG/JPEG images, which effectively saves bandwidth and reduces costs.
