Data processing
You pay to use features such as image processing and advanced image compression. This topic explains how you are charged for data processing.
warning
  • Charges apply only to successful operations, including image processing, advanced image compression and snapshot. Failed operations are not billed.
  • Using the image processing service incurs fees for image processing, requests, and data transfer.
  • Request fees are calculated based on the number of GetObject requests initiated. Each image processing operation initiates one such request.
  • The cost of outbound traffic over the public network is calculated based on the size of the processed image.

Billable item
Description
Unit price
Formula
Billing cycle
Image processing
You can process up to 10 TiB of images for free every month. Any overage will be billed based on the original image size.
tip
  • This billable item does not include advanced image compression.
  • Image processing is billed based on the original image size, not the number of requests.
  • Free Tier: First 10 TiB monthly
  • Overage: ¥0.025 per GiB beyond 10 TiB
Image processing cost (> 10 TiB) = (Total processed - 10 TiB) × Unit price
Billed hourly
Advanced image compression (HEIF)
You are charged based on the number of operations. Billing varies by image resolution.
tip
Resolution tiers apply to the image's actual dimensions when advanced compression is performed. For example, when both resizing and advanced compression are applied, the billing is calculated based on the dimensions of the resized image.
  • Low: < 800 × 600 px
  • Medium: 800 × 600 px (inclusive) - 4096 × 4096 px (inclusive)
  • Low: ¥0.025 per 1,000 operations
  • Medium: ¥0.1 per 1,000 operations
Advanced image compression cost = Unit price × Number of operations ÷ 1,000
Billed hourly
Snapshot
You are charged based on the number of operations. Currently, fees for retrieving video metadata are billed under the "snapshot" item.
¥0.1 per 1,000 operations
Snapshot cost = Number of operations x Unit price ÷ 1,000
Billed hourly
Inspection
You are charged based on the number of operations.
tip
You will only pay for successful API calls used to inspect abnormal images. There are no charges for failed calls. Billing is not affected by inspection results.
¥0.1 per 1,000 operations
Inspection cost = Number of operations x Unit price ÷ 1,000
Billed hourly
Object monitoring in Intelligent Tiering
Intelligent Tiering automatically monitors access to objects, which incurs charges.
tip
Objects smaller than 64 KiB are exempt from these charges.
¥0.175 per 10,000 objects per month
Object monitoring cost = Number of monitored objects × Per-object hourly rate
Billed hourly
File decompression
You are charged based on the size of the decompressed files.
¥0.05 per GiB
File decompression cost = Decompressed file size (GiB) × Unit price
Billed hourly
Multi-file compression
You are charged based on the size of the files before compression.
¥0.05 per GiB
Multi-file compression cost = Total original file size (GiB) × Unit price
Billed hourly
Video transcoding
You are charged based on the length of the video output. The cost varies depending on the encoding format and output resolution.
tip
Billing is determined by output video resolution according to the following specifications.
For example, HD (1280×720) output falls under the SD output tier if the long edge (width) is ≤1280 and the short edge (height) is ≤720. However, if either the long edge exceeds 1280 or the short edge exceeds 720, the output belongs to a higher resolution tier.
The resolution specifications and their corresponding long-edge/short-edge limits are as follows:
  • SD: 640 x 480
  • HD: 1280 x 720
  • FHD: 1920 x 1080
  • 2K: 2560 x 1440
  • 4K: 3840 x 2160
Currently free of charge. We will notify you of the charging schedule at a later time.
Video transcoding cost = Video output minutes (rounded up to the nearest minute) × Price per minute
Billed hourly
Audio transcoding
You are charged based on the length of the audio output.
Currently free of charge. We will notify you of the charging schedule at a later time.
Audio transcoding cost = Audio output minutes (rounded up to the nearest minute) × Price per minute
Billed hourly
Extracting metadata from AIGC audio and video
You are charged based on the number of API requests.
Currently free of charge. We will notify you of the charging schedule at a later time.
