Creating a bucket with hierarchical namespace enabled

This topic explains how to create a bucket with hierarchical namespace enabled (HNS bucket).

Prerequisites

Before you begin, make sure you have signed up for a Volcano Engine account and completed real name verification. For instructions, see Account registration and Real Name Verification.

For a list of regions that support hierarchical namespace, see Supported regions.

Notes

You can create up to 100 buckets for each account and its sub-account(s).

For bucket naming rules, see Bucket.

HNS buckets currently support only Standard Storage.

Steps

Log in to the TOS console.

In the left navigation pane, click Buckets. Then, in the upper-left corner of the displayed page, click Create bucket.

On the Create Bucket page, configure the bucket parameters. In the Advanced settings area, toggle on the Hierarchical namespace switch.

After completing the settings, click Create.
