Managing bucket public read access

This topic explains how to grant or revoke public read access to a bucket and how to check if public read access is enabled.

Granting public read access to a bucket

Log in to the TOS console.

In the left navigation pane, click Buckets.

In the top menu bar, select the project of the bucket you want to manage.

On the Buckets page, click the name of the bucket.

In the left navigation pane, select Permissions > Bucket ACLs.

In the Public Access Permission section, click Edit in the Actions column of All users.

In the Edit Public Access Permission dialog box, select Read Permission and Include object list/multi-parts list. Then, click Save.

Public read access to a bucket allows all users to retrieve the bucket's metadata, access object metadata, download objects, and list both objects and multipart uploads.

Revoke public read access to a bucket	In the Edit Public Access Permission dialog box, uncheck the boxes for Read Permission and Include object list/multi-parts list. Then, click Save.
Check if public read access is enabled	In the Edit Public Access Permission dialog box, verify if the bucket has read permission enabled.
