Downloading and installing FSX
This topic provides notes and steps for installing FSX.
- FSX will be installed in the /opt/fsx directory. Ensure that this directory has at least 1 GB of disk space to avoid installation failure or malfunction.
- The client configuration files will be stored in the /opt/tmp/fsx directory during installation. Allocate at least 2 GiB of disk space for this directory. The log files are stored in the /var/log/fsx directory. Allocate at least 2 GiB of disk space for this directory. Ensure that there are no directories with the same name on your system to avoid installation failure or malfunction.
- To prevent other services from deleting or writing to mounted directories, we recommend implementing proper directory isolation when mounting buckets. This will help prevent data inconsistencies and other issues.
