Granting public read access to multiple objects simultaneously
Currently, you can only grant public read access to multiple objects when uploading them using tosutil.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure:
Steps
Use the following tosutil command to upload objects in batches and set their access permissions to "public read".

./tosutil cp file1_url,folder1_url|filelist_url tos://bucket[/prefix] -msm=2 -r -acl public-read

Parameter
Type
Description
file_url
String
The path for a local file. To upload multiple objects, add multiple file_url values to the command and separate them with commas (,).
folder_url
String
The path for a local folder. This parameter must be used in conjunction with the -r parameter.
filelist_url
String
The path of the file that contains the list of files or folders to be uploaded. The details are as follows:
  • The list file is formatted in a standard text type, such as TXT or CSV.
  • Each line of the file corresponds to a file or folder that will be uploaded.
bucket
String
Bucket name.
prefix
String
The prefix used for filtering objects in batch operations.
-msm
Enum
Sets the mode for uploading multiple objects or folders at once. The options are as follows:
  • -msm=1: The upload path is a list of objects or folders separated by commas (,).
  • -msm=2: The upload path is a manifest file containing a list of objects or folders.
warning
  • Do not use the -msm=1 mode if an object or folder name contains a comma.
  • Unless the -r parameter is set, folders in the list will not be uploaded.
-r
Bool
Perform batch upload, download, or copy operations.
-acl
String
Sets the predefined access control lists (ACLs) for objects to be uploaded or copied. Possible values:
  • private: Private permission.
  • public-read: Publicly readable.
  • public-read-write: Publicly readable and writable.
  • authenticated-read: Authenticated users have read access.
  • bucket-owner-read: The bucket owner has read access.
  • bucket-owner-full-control: The bucket owner has full control.
  • bucket-owner-entrusted: Controlled by the bucket policy, with the bucket owner having full control.
