Usage statistics
The TOS console offers a comprehensive overview of your bucket, providing insights into storage usage, transferred data volume, request counts, and other basic data. This topic explains which data types are included in usage statistics and how to view them.
Notes
  • The data displayed on the bucket overview page comes from Cloud Monitor and may contain delayed statistics. This information is intended for monitoring purposes only and should not be used for billing references.
Steps
  1. Log in to the TOS console.
  1. In the left navigation pane, click Buckets.
  1. In the top menu bar, select the project of the bucket you want to manage.
  1. On the Buckets page, click the name of the bucket.
  1. In the left navigation pane, select Usage Statistics > Basic Data. Then, select a time range at the top of the page.
  • Hover over the data points on the line chart to find specific statistical data.
Supported data types
TOS provides visibility to the following data.

Category
Description
Storage capacity
Specifies the raw and billable capacities of the bucket by storage type within a given time period. You can change the reference period at the top of the page. The details are as follows:
  • Raw Capacity: The actual physical storage space used by a given storage type.
  • Billing Capacity: The amount of storage space billed for a given storage type.
tip
A minimum charge applies to objects in Standard Storage, Infrequent Access Storage, Flashback Archive, Archive, Cold Archive, and Deep Cold Archive based on object size. Objects smaller than 64 KiB are charged as if they were 64 KiB. If you store objects smaller than 64 KiB in Infrequent Access Storage, Flashback Archive, Archive, or Cold Archive, the billing capacity will exceed the raw capacity.
Retrieve Capacity
Specifies the volume of data retrieved over a given period. The details are as follows:
  • IA storage data retrieval capacity: Retrieval of data from TOS when the client accesses objects in Infrequent Access Storage.
  • Flashback Archive data retrieval capacity: Retrieval of data from TOS when the client accesses objects in Flashback Archive.
  • Archive storage data retrieval capacity: Data retrieval when restoring objects from Archive.
  • Cold Archive quick retrieve capacity: Data retrieval when restoring objects from Cold Archive in quick retrieval mode.
  • Cold Archive standard retrieval capacity: Data retrieval when restoring objects from Cold Archive in standard retrieval mode.
  • Cold Archive batch retrieval capacity: Data retrieval when restoring objects from Cold Archive in batch retrieval mode.
  • Deep Cold Archive Standard Retrieval Capacity: Data retrieval when restoring objects from Deep Cold Archive in standard retrieval mode.
  • Deep Cold Archive batch retrieval capacity: Data retrieval when restoring objects from Deep Cold Archive in batch retrieval mode.
Traffic
Specifies the volume of data transferred in the bucket under different scenarios over a given period. The details are as follows:
  • Outflow Traffic from Public Network: Data transfer out from TOS to internet clients.
  • Public Network Inflow Traffic: Data transfer in from internet clients to TOS.
  • Intranet Outflow Traffic: Data transfer out from TOS to Volcano Engine clients.
  • Intranet Inflow Traffic: Data transfer in from Volcano Engine clients to TOS.
  • CDN Back-to-Origin Outflow Traffic: Data downloads from TOS to Volcano Engine's Content Delivery Network (CDN) via an accelerated domain name.
  • CDN Back-to-Origin Inflow Traffic: Data uploads from CDN to TOS via an accelerated domain name.
  • CRR Traffic: Data transfer when replicating data across buckets in different regions via cross region replication (CRR) rules.
  • Transfer Acceleration Inflow Traffic (Chinese mainland to Chinese mainland): Data uploads from public networks to TOS buckets in the Chinese Mainland via transfer acceleration domain names.
  • Transfer Acceleration Outflow Traffic (Chinese mainland to Chinese mainland): Data downloads from TOS buckets to public networks in the Chinese mainland via transfer acceleration domain names.
  • Transfer Acceleration Inflow Traffic (outside Chinese mainland to Chinese mainland): Data uploads from public networks in other locations to TOS buckets in the Chinese mainland via transfer acceleration domain names.
  • Transfer Acceleration Outflow Traffic (outside the Chinese mainland to Chinese mainland): Data downloads from TOS buckets in the Chinese mainland to public networks in other locations via transfer acceleration domain names.
  • Transfer Acceleration Inflow Traffic (Chinese mainland to outside Chinese mainland): Data uploads from public networks in the Chinese mainland to TOS buckets in other locations via transfer acceleration domain names.
  • Transfer Acceleration Outflow Traffic (Chinese mainland to outside Chinese mainland): Data downloads from TOS buckets in other locations to public networks in the Chinese mainland via transfer acceleration domain names.
  • Transfer Acceleration Inflow Traffic (outside Chinese mainland to outside Chinese mainland): Data uploads from public networks to TOS buckets across other locations via transfer acceleration domain names.
  • Transfer Acceleration Outflow Traffic (outside Chinese mainland to outside Chinese mainland): Data downloads from TOS buckets to public networks across other locations via transfer acceleration domain names.
Number of requests
Specifies the total number of write and read requests in the bucket within a given time period.
Bandwidth
Specifies the intranet outflow bandwidth and public outflow bandwidth in the bucket within a given time period.
Status Code
Specifies the total number of status codes generated by accessing the TOS bucket over a given period.

Related operations
You can view the total usage of all your TOS buckets on both the Overview page and the Usage statistics page.
  • To view the total usage of all buckets on the Overview page,
  • Log in to the TOS console. On the Overview page, in the Usage overview section, find the following: Raw capacity, Current storage capacity, Traffic this month, and Number of Requests This Month. For explanations of each data type, see Supported data types.
  • To view the total usage of all buckets in the last 7 or 30 days on the Usage statistics page,
  • Log in to the TOS console. In the left navigation pane, click Usage statistics. Set the time range to 7 days or 30 days, and find the following: Raw Capacity, Billing Capacity, Retrieve Capacity, Traffic, and Number of requests. For explanations of each data type, see Supported data types.
