Billable items

Storage

TOS charges you for storing objects based on their size and duration.

This topic only provides a description of billable items. For specific prices, see TOS pricing details.

Storage capacity is calculated in binary units. For example, 1 GiB equals 1024 MiB.

TOS provides different storage types. The following table lists the billing mode for each storage type.

Infrequent Access Storage	Infrequent Access Storage - Storage	30 days	You are charged by object size and storage duration. If you delete (including overwrite) an object before it has been stored for 30 days (720 hours), or if you move it to a different storage type before then, you will be charged as if the object had been stored for the full 30 days.	Pay-as-you-go: Hourly cost = Object size (GiB) × Monthly rate ÷ 30 (days) ÷ 24 (hours) Costs for early deletion or change in storage type = Object size (GiB) × Monthly rate ÷ 30 (days) ÷ 24 (hours) × (720 - Actual storage duration) Resource packages: Low Frequency Storage Capacity Packet
Infrequent Access Storage		Infrequent Access Storage (multi-AZ) - Storage	30 days	You are charged by object size and storage duration. If you delete (including overwrite) an object before it has been stored for 30 days (720 hours), or if you move it to a different storage type before then, you will be charged as if the object had been stored for the full 30 days. Flashback Archive	Flashback Archive - Storage	90 days	You are charged by object size and storage duration. Intelligent Tiering	Intelligent Tiering - Storage	-	You are charged based on access tier, object size, and storage duration. Specifically: If your objects are in the frequent access tier of Intelligent Tiering, charges are calculated in the same way as for Standard Storage. If your objects are in the infrequent access tier of Intelligent Tiering, charges are calculated in the same way as for Infrequent Access Storage. If your objects are in the flashback archive tier of Intelligent Tiering, charges are calculated in the same way as for Flashback Archive.	Pay-as-you-go: Hourly cost = Object size (GiB) × Monthly rate ÷ 30 (days) ÷ 24 (hours)
Intelligent Tiering		Intelligent Tiering (multi-AZ) - Storage	-	You are charged based on access tier, object size, and storage duration. Specifically: If your objects are in the frequent access tier of Intelligent Tiering, charges are calculated in the same way as for Standard Storage (multi-AZ). If your objects are in the infrequent access tier of Intelligent Tiering, charges are calculated in the same way as for Infrequent Access Storage (multi-AZ). If your objects are in the flashback archive tier of Intelligent Tiering, charges are calculated in the same way as for Flashback Archive (multi-AZ). Archive	Archive - Storage	90 days	You are charged by object size and storage duration. If you delete (including overwrite) an object before it has been stored for 180 days (4,320 hours), or if you move it to a different storage type before then, you will be charged as if the object had been stored for the full 180 days. Deep Cold Archive	Deep Cold Archive - Storage	180 days	You are charged by object size and storage duration. If you delete (including overwrite) an object before it has been stored for 180 days (4,320 hours), or if you move it to a different storage type before then, you will be charged as if the object had been stored for the full 180 days. Remarks:

Objects smaller than 64 KiB will remain in the frequent access tier of Intelligent Tiering. They will not be transitioned to infrequent access or flashback archive tier.

The following storage types have a minimum billable object size: Objects smaller than 64 KiB are billed as 64 KiB. Objects 64 KiB or larger are billed based on their actual size.

For objects in Standard Storage and Standard Storage (multi-AZ) that are smaller than 64 KiB:

If the number of such objects reaches or exceeds one billion in a given region, each object will be billed as 64 KiB.

If the number remains below one billion in a given region, the objects are charged at their actual size.
