This topic describes the status and error codes that can be encountered in server responses to requests.

Status Code

The response status codes are summarized below.

Status Code	Description
2XX	The request succeeded, and the server has returned the data requested by the client.
3XX	Redirect-related request, the client must take additional actions to complete the request.
4XX	The client's request contained errors, and the server did not create or modify data.
5XX	The server encountered an error, leaving the client unable to tell whether the sent request succeeded.

Error Code

When there is an error in calling an API, no result data will be returned. You can identify related issues based on the error code and error message returned by the API. When an error occurs, the HTTP request returns a 3XX, 4XX, or 5XX HTTP status code. and a response body containing the corresponding error code and message.

HostId	String	ID of the server providing the response.
Message	String	A detailed description of the error.

Error	HTTP status code	Description
AccessDeniedException	403	Access denied.
ConflictException	409	Request failed because the vector bucket name or vector index name already exists. Vector bucket names must be unique within each account in each region. Vector index names must be unique within the vector bucket.
InternalServerException	500	Request failed due to internal server error.
ServiceQuotaExceededException	402	Your request exceeded the service quota.
ServiceUnavailableException	503	The service is unavailable. Please wait a moment and try the request again. If the problem persists, increase the wait time between retries.
TooManyRequestsException	429	Request denied due to request throttling.
ValidationException	400	The requested operation is invalid.
