Creating instances in host cluster
This topic describes how to create Pay-as-you-go instances in a DDH cluster.
Procedure
  1. Log in to the DDH console.
  1. In the top menu bar, select the region where your business is located.
  1. On the "Host cluster" tab, click the "Create instance" button in the "Actions" column of the target cluster.
  1. Configure the parameters in the following table.
  •
    Parameter
    Description
    Sample value
    Host cluster
By default, the current host cluster is selected. You can also click the drop-down list to select another cluster.
    -
    DDH
    Specify the target host.
After selecting the host cluster, you can also select "Automatic deployment". This eliminates the need to specify a host and the instance is directly created on a DDH that supports automatic deployment.
    Automatic deployment
    Associate host
For ECS instances in Economical Mode, some resources will be released after the instances are stopped. This parameter specifies whether the ECS instance will remain fixed on the target host when the ECS instance restarts.
    • If you associate an instance in Economical Mode with a host, when the instance restarts, it will still be deployed on the target host. If the available resources on the current host are insufficient, the restart will fail.
    • If you do not associate an instance in Economical Mode with a DDH, when the instance restarts, it will be preferentially migrated to a host that supports automatic deployment. If resources on the host that supports automatic deployment are insufficient, the instance restarts on the target host.
    Associate host
    Billing method
This parameter is fixed as "Pay-as-you-go".
    Pay-as-you-go
    Instance type
The custom vCPU and memory configuration for the instance type. For details on the types of instances that can be created on a DDH, refer to Instance types.
    32 vCPUs, 128 GiB

  1. Configure the parameters in the "Network and security" and "Advanced configuration" steps by referring to Creating instances on DDH and complete the purchase.
