Reserved Instances

Reserved Instances (RI) renewal

Before your Reserved Instances (RI) expire, you can follow the procedures described in this document to renew them and extend their expiration date. After a successful renewal, the new billing cycle will begin from the original expiration date.

At 7 days, 3 days, 1 day before, and on the day of expiration of Reserved Instances (RI), the platform will remind you via SMS, email, or internal message that your resource is about to expire, according to the reminder method you have set. To avoid any disruption to your business, please renew promptly after receiving the message notification.

Precautions

Reserved Instances (RI) pending renewal must be in the Active status.

Renewal is not supported for Reserved Instances (RI) that have expired or been unsubscribed.

Manual renewal

In the top menu bar, select the region and project where your business is located.

On the Reserved Instances (RI) list page under the "Compute" tab, click the "... > Renewal" button in the "Actions" column to the right of the target Reserved Instance (RI) to go to the renewal management page.

Confirm information for Reserved Instances (RI) pending renewal and select the renewal duration.

Click the "Pay" button, submit payment information, and pay the fee.

If there are available coupons, you can select a coupon to apply a deduction to the payment.

Auto-renewal

Enable automatic renewal in the billing center

Before the expiration of Reserved Instances (RI), you can enable automatic renewal in Billing center > renewal management. For details, refer to automatic renewal. Seven days before the expiration of your Reserved Instances (RI), the system will automatically deduct the renewal fee from your account balance. Please ensure that your balance is sufficient.

Enable automatic renewal when purchasing Reserved Instances (RI)

You can select the "Enable auto-renewal" option when purchasing Reserved Instances (RI). After selecting this option, the platform will automatically deduct the renewal fee for Reserved Instances (RI) before expiration, and manual renewal is not required.

tip

You can also enable automatic renewal for the newly generated target Reserved Instances (RI) voucher when changing Reserved Instances (RI). For more information, refer to Change Reserved Instances (RI).
