Partition type | MBR partitions are supported. |
System environment requirements
Volume | The size of the system volume of the ECS instance that you create by using the custom image is determined based on the total capacity (not the used capacity) of the system volume in the image. The total capacity of the system volume in the image ranges from 40 GiB to 500 GiB. When the actual data in the system volume exceeds 128 GiB, you cannot create instances with PTSSD volumes. |
Boot mode | We recommend that you use the UEFI boot mode. warning |

Driver | |
Software | Make sure that Cloud-init is installed and modify the Cloud-init configuration file to ensure that the instances created by using the image can be initialized as expected. Learn more. |
Image file format | |
Only images in the QCOW2, RAW, VHD, or VMDK format are supported. Images in other formats (for example, ISO) must be converted to a supported image format before you import the images. Learn more.
