Updating patch baseline attributes
When evaluation rules, adaptation environment, or management requirements for patches change, you need to update the patch baseline. This ensures that the baseline accurately aligns with current security protection, compliance management, and business operations requirements, preventing issues such as instance patch non-compliance or unpatched security vulnerabilities caused by outdated baseline rules.
- Preset patch baselines for Ubuntu and Debian are view-only and cannot be modified.
- After baseline update, we recommend immediately performing a patch scan on the target instance to verify the applicability of the new rules and avoid compliance exceptions caused by incorrect rules. Learn more.
- In the left-side navigation pane, select "Maintenance & Monitoring > Patch Management".
- In the top menu bar, select the region where your business is located.
- On the Patch management page, click the "Patch baseline" tab.
- In the "Actions" column of the target patch baseline, click the "Update" button.
- Refer to Creating patch baselines to adjust the relevant parameters, and then click the "Update" button to complete the operation.
