You can change the name and description of a snapshot after it is successfully created. This topic explains how to modify snapshot attributes.
From the Volumes page
- Log in to the ECS console.
- In the left navigation pane, select "Storage > Volumes".
- In the top menu bar, select the project and region where the volume resides.
- On the "Volumes" page, click "... > View snapshot chain" in the "Actions" column of the volume.
- Under "Snapshot list", click "... > Modify attributes" in the "Actions" column of the snapshot you want to manage.
- In the box that appears, modify the name and description of the snapshot, if necessary. Then, click "Save".
From the Snapshots page
- Log in to the ECS console.
- In the left navigation pane, select "Storage > Snapshots".
- In the top menu bar, select the project and region where the snapshot resides.
- On the "Snapshots" page, click "... > Modify attributes" in the "Actions" column of the snapshot.
- In the box that appears, modify the name and description of the snapshot, if necessary. Then, click "Save".
