[Product change] Announcement on the EOM of node images related to GPU Driver 470

On April 14, 2025, Volcengine Kubernetes Engine (VKE) ended the maintenance of the operating system public images of the GPU Driver 470 series. The usage of this series of images is not supported during node creation.

Change impact

When you are creating nodes in scenarios such as node pool creation and node scale-out, you cannot select EOM images.

Existing nodes that already use images related to the GPU Driver 470 series can be used until the nodes are deleted.

Recommended operations

In scenarios where the GPU Driver 470 series images were used, we recommend that you select the GPU Driver 535 series images. For detailed information, refer to the Recommended images section of this topic.

For existing node pools that use EOM images, you can change the operating system by editing the node pools. Newly scaled-out nodes will use the images after replacement. In addition, you can update the operating system of all nodes in a node pool by scaling in the pool first and then scaling out the node pool.
